AI video prompts for product videos: 25 examples
The quality of an AI video depends a lot on the prompt. Vague prompts like 'a cool video of my product' leave the model guessing, and the result often looks generic. Clear prompts describe what the camera sees. Below is a simple structure you can use for any product, followed by 25 example prompts you can adapt.
The structure: subject, setting, action, camera, light
Most strong video prompts answer five questions in one or two sentences. You don't need all five every time, but the more you include, the less the model has to invent.
- Subject: what the product is, in plain words, with its colour and material.
- Setting: where it is, such as a kitchen counter, a beach or a studio background.
- Action: what happens over the clip, such as being poured, opened, worn or rotated.
- Camera: how the shot moves, such as a slow push-in, an orbit or a handheld close-up.
- Light and mood: soft morning light, bright studio light, warm evening glow.
Studio and showcase prompts
Good for product pages, marketplace listings and clean ads.
- 'A white ceramic coffee mug on a seamless pale grey background, slowly rotating 360 degrees, soft even studio light, gentle shadow underneath.'
- 'A pair of black wireless earbuds rising out of their open charging case, slow motion, dark background with a thin rim light.'
- 'A glass perfume bottle on a mirrored surface, camera slowly orbits it, light catches the edges, elegant and minimal.'
- 'A leather wallet opening on its own on a walnut desk, close-up, warm side light, shallow depth of field.'
- 'A stack of three skincare jars, camera pushes in slowly to the front label, clean white background, bright and fresh.'
Lifestyle and in-use prompts
Show the product being used, which helps people picture it in their own life.
- 'A hand picks up a matte green water bottle from a gym bench and takes a sip, natural light, handheld camera.'
- 'A woman wraps a chunky knit scarf around her neck on a city street in autumn, leaves falling, golden hour.'
- 'Fresh coffee pours from a steel French press into a glass cup on a sunny kitchen counter, steam rising, close-up.'
- 'A runner laces up bright orange trainers on a park path at sunrise, low camera angle, slow push-in.'
- 'A small dog happily chews a rope toy on a living room rug, playful, soft afternoon light.'
Ad and hook prompts
Built to stop the scroll in the first second, for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- 'Extreme close-up of a lipstick twisting up, then a quick cut to it being applied, bold red background, punchy and fast.'
- 'A cluttered desk is swept clean in one motion, revealing a sleek desk organiser, bright light, satisfying.'
- 'Before and after: a dull sneaker on the left, the same sneaker cleaned and bright on the right, split screen, studio light.'
- 'A phone case drops onto a hard floor in slow motion and bounces without a scratch, close-up, dramatic light.'
- 'A smoothie blender fills with fruit, switches on, and the camera tilts up to the finished drink, colourful and energetic.'
UGC and creator-style prompts
Look like a real person filmed it on a phone. Keep them honest: don't present AI people as real customers.
- 'Selfie-style vertical video of a young man in his kitchen holding up a protein bar and smiling, phone camera, natural light.'
- 'A woman at a bathroom mirror applies a serum to her cheek, handheld phone camera, soft daylight, relaxed.'
- 'Overhead phone shot of hands unboxing a candle from tissue paper on a bed, cosy, warm light.'
- 'A creator holds a small backpack toward the camera and turns it to show the pockets, bright bedroom, casual.'
- 'A person tries on sunglasses in a car, glances at the camera and grins, sunny day, handheld.'
Cinematic and brand prompts
Slower, moodier clips for brand videos and premium products.
- 'A watch on a dark slate surface, raindrops landing around it in slow motion, moody blue light, cinematic.'
- 'Aerial shot moving over misty mountains, ending on a hiking boot on a rock in the foreground, epic and calm.'
- 'A bottle of olive oil on a rustic table in a sunlit Italian kitchen, camera dollies slowly past fresh bread and herbs.'
- 'Silk fabric ripples in slow motion across the frame and settles over a jewellery box, soft pink light.'
- 'A candle is lit in a dark room, the flame grows and gently lights up the label, warm and intimate.'
Mistakes that make AI videos look fake
Asking for too much in one clip is the most common one. Five seconds can hold one clear action, not a whole story. Split long ideas into several clips.
Text inside the video is another. AI models often blur or misspell words, so add titles, prices and captions afterwards in your editor or in the platform's own tools.
Finally, abstract words like 'premium', 'viral' or 'amazing' don't describe anything visual. Replace them with what the viewer should actually see.
How to do it in Qevio
Paste any of these prompts into Qevio's AI Video Generator and swap in your own product. For a video that must show your real product, attach a JPG, PNG or WebP photo up to 10 MB to use as the first frame on models that support image-to-video, and choose the Product Ad quality mode. Pick a length of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds (depending on the model) and the format for your platform.
Qevio shows the credit estimate before anything runs, and you can make a variation of any clip you like.
Questions
How long should an AI video prompt be?
One or two clear sentences is usually enough. Cover the subject, the setting, the action, the camera movement and the light.
Why does my AI product video not look like my product?
Text-only prompts make the model invent a product that matches the description. Start from a real product photo as the first frame instead, and check every clip for details such as labels and logos.
Can I put text in an AI-generated video?
AI models often get text wrong, so it's safer to generate the clip without text and add captions, prices and titles afterwards.
